Did you ever say to yourself that you would love to work for KAM…but now you think you are to old, not qualified, or other excuses that have kept you from trying?

Well, your time has come as KAM has moved into a new management era…one which requires the support of volunteers to actively come and give us a hand running the snow resort. WE Need YOU!

From, Guest Services where you meet and greet our guests, answer questions, give dire3ctions, assist if you can and they want help and more. We require help inside and outside Wednesday to Sunday. Want to learn to make snow? No problem. But be warned that this is probably the toughest job at the resort. Retired Doctor? Great! We need your help on site with adding support to our excellent CSPS patrols…so dedicated to the safety and speedy first aiding of all that come to play at KAM.

Don’t stop there…we have more openeing s for volunteers of all ages and abilitites from working on the lifts, to doing breaks for staff, to helping fit boots in the rental shop and even giving a hand with administrative work such as ticket selling, answering phones, computer data input and more.

So, rather than be bored this winter why not volunteer and join our KAM Volunteer Group? We are always wanting to hear form you so, call, write, email or drop into the resort for a chat. Speak to the Manager.

KAM PARK…receives huge tires to hit off

Huge tires have arrived at KAM to be placed in the new park on La Main Mallet (also know as Chalet or Front run). Roddy Mahoney has be recruited to oversee outside operations and his son Mackenzie is helping to plan the new park features.

FREE – Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass Affinity Card

NEW Affinity Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass Card

We received this information about changes to the upcoming Grade 4 & 5 FREE Snow Pass program.

Dear Ski Area,

Hello and thank you for participating in the Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass program for the 2010/2011 season. Although

summer is just starting, we at the CSC are getting ready for the winter season.

We are very excited about this upcoming season as we move into the more earth friendly domain of affinity cards

with the SnowPass program. So what that means is that this year children in Grade 4 & 5 (born in 2000 or 2001)

will now be carrying smaller cards which allow for better tracking and smooth running of the SnowPass Program.

For your ski area, this means easier redemption. With one swipe you will know exactly how many coupons the

child has left on their SnowPass card. No more looking for your ski area’s SnowPass page in our old bulky

SnowPass booklets! Staff training sessions will be available to all ski areas in the early fall to ensure that staff are

prepared to deal with the new affinity Grade 4 & 5 SnowPass card.

Motocross at KAM…Now you are interested!

Summer at Kam could be as good as motor cross training track and events plus so much more. If this is something that you are interested in, would pay for, want to help plan the track, and volunteer so it happens…email me. lorne@kamiskotia.com with your intentions and spread the word to Timmins, Cochrane, Kapuskasing and surrounding areas. Let’s make this happen so summer will be even more exciting.

Night Skiing – Interested?

What would it be like to finish your day at work or school and head to Kam to experience winter at night? Yes we have had this offered in the past just on La Main Mallet (Chalet Run) but with new led lights we might be able to light up the night at KAM and offer Kreiner’s Run to begin with and hopefully the Terrain Park and in the future Downhill run.

Mtn Bike Trail Development

We are clearing the overgrown cross country trails to be used this summer for Mtn bike riding. The Timmins Cycle Club volunteers are assisting with this effort. If you are interested in assisting send an email to Lorne@kamiskotia.com.
